High Rise

victoria-peak-hong-kong.jpg

I must admit having never thought about it much, but to find out that London has more high buildings that Hong Kong was a suprise. Having been to both cities relatively close in time (a matter of weeks) I would have considered Hong Kong to be high rise, London to be not so. This appears not to be the case.

I’d also never consider Hong Kong to have less population than London – maybe it because of the spread.

6. Greater London, High rises = 511, pop = 7,172,091
7. Hong Kong, High rises = 489, pop = 6,994,500

Doesn’t compare to New York’s 2146 high rises and 8,104,079 population.
